Russian crime ring has gathered a large number of stolen internet credentials that include 1.2 billion user name and password combinations and more than 500 million email addresses, say security researchers.
A firm Hold Security in Milwaukee discovered the records. It includes confidential matter from 420,000 websites consisting of household names and small Internet sites.
Computer experts, after reviewing the data, said it was authentic, reports The New York Times.
Hold Security is famous for disclosing significant hacks, which include last year's theft of millions of records from Adobe systems.
According to reports, Hold Security has not named the victims.
