Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has tweeted that western countries are behaving like a "monkey with a grenade" in the Islamic world, after the United States announced that it was considering military action against Syria.
Russia has begun to evacuate its citizens from Syria amid fears that the United States and its allies will soon launch a military attack on Syrian rebels after they were blamed for launching chemical weapons attack on civilians in suburbs outside national capital Damascus, which was against international laws, the Washington Times reports.
A Russian emergency situations aircraft carrying humanitarian aid had landed in Syria on Tuesday, which will take Russians and other CIS citizens out of the country on its return flight, the report added.
According to the report, diplomatic sources revealed that western allies have told the Syrian rebels to expect a strike against President Bashar Al-Assad's forces within a few days.
