Baloch activist Lateef Johar said Tuesday that he fears for the life of activist and Balochistan Student Organisation (BSO-Azad) information secretary Shabir Baloch, who was abducted by Pakistani forces on October 4.

"I'm really worried for Shabbir's life. I fear that the ruthless Pakistani forces and the ISI will kill him like they killed our other friends and leaders and the innocent civilians in Balochistan," Johar told ANI.

He said that before Shabir was abducted, his house was torched. His family members were also abducted and subjected to torture.

"Before his abduction his house was burnt and his family members were also abducted and subjected to worse kind of human torture and killed. Two of his cousins were recently killed by the Pakistani forces. His other cousin Safarkhan Baloch is still missing. He was abducted by the forces in 2013."

BSO-Azad also staged a protest on Saturday in Karachi against Shabir Baloch's unlawful abduction from Gowarkop.

The protestors raised slogans like "Where are you UNO", "Stop military operations in Balochistan", "Free Free Baloch Abductees" and "Stop Baloch Genocide".

Shabir was attending a gathering against the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) when the army raided the place.

Apart from Shabir, 29 others were also picked up.

Pro-freedom Baloch political parties and student organisations say that most regions in Balochistan fall under the CPEC.

Beijing had recently expressed concern about the security of its workers in Balochistan after the Baloch Liberation Army had accepted responsibility of an attack on Chinese workers in Windar region of Balochistan. Two Chinese engineers were killed and several injured.

The Baloch Liberation Army and other pro-freedom resistance organization have been continuous warning China to refrain from investing in 'occupied Balochistan' until the Balochistan conflict is resolved.
