The organizers of the Ryder Cup have put a ban on updating photographs, videos and audios of the event on social media.
Professional Golfers' Association of America (PGA) and the PGA European Tour have restricted the uploading of any material during the six-day event at Gleneagles to ensure that the players are not distracted.
According to News24, anyone disregarding the rules and regulations at the event would have their phones and other devices confiscated for the day.
The ground regulations restrict ticketholders from taking any photographs, videos and audios except on practice days.
There is a ban on autographs, personal mobility scooters and autographs as well.
