S.Korean President holds talks with Khurshid

South Korean President Park Geun-Hye held talks with External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid here on Thursday, to bolster bilateral ties.

President Park Geun-hye arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday for an official four-day visit that would conclude on January 18.

South Korea's first woman President would hold delegation level talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and discuss bilateral, regional and global issues.

The daughter of former president Park Chung-hee, who ruled South Korea for almost two decades, Park took over as president in February last year.

The visit will expand and strengthen the India-Republic of Korea Strategic Partnership.

President Park Geun-hye has been accompanied by a high-level delegation which includes the Foreign Minister, the Minister for Science, ICT and Future Planning, and the Minister for Trade and Industry.
