Cricketer S Sreesanth, who was arrested a couple of weeks back for spot-fixing, was on Tuesday sent to judicial custody.
A Delhi court refused police plea for custody of Sreesanth for two more days following which he was sent to judicial custody till June 4.
He will be lodged in the Tihar Jail till his bail plea, is heard on June 4.
Sreesanth, along with two other Rajasthan Royals teammates Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan, had been arrested for their involvement in spot fixing. Several bookies were also arrested after they had been arrested.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police are reportedly considering initiating process to bring Pakistani umpire Asad Rauf to India. They claim to have evidence that show that Rauf had links with bookies.
Also in a fresh set of developments in the ongoing spot-fixing scandal, the Mumbai police have again raided the Chennai residence of BCCI chief N Srinivasan's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan who was arrested for his involvement in the scandal.
This is the second time the police conducted a raid in Meiyappan's residence . They have found some strong evidences during their first raid which took place a few days back.
