'The Walking Dead' star Sabrina Gennarino is the latest to join the cast of USA Network's upcoming Television series 'The Purge.'
Gennarino, who played Tamiel in AMC's zombie series, will feature in the scripted drama for both NBC Universal-owned cable networks, set to premier on September 3, reported the Hollywood Reporter.
She will play the role of Madelyn, thus adding to a star-studded cast that includes Gabriel Chavarria, Lili Simmons, Lee Tergesen, Jessica Garza and Amanda Warren.
The Purge is a small-screen spin-off from Blumhouse's hugely-successful horror franchise from creator James DeMonaco.
The fantasy drama revolves around the members of a wealthy family who find themselves in trouble when they are held hostage by a murderer during the Purge, a period where all criminal activity is legalised.
Apart from the Purge, Gennarino's TV credits also include 13 sins, Days of Darkness and The Monkey's Paw.
