Day one of the Shree Raj Mahal Jewellers India Couture Week (ICW) kicked off with ace designer Sabyasachi showcasing his new collection "Ferozabad".
Bollywood diva Rani Mukherjee expressed her joy at being present at her friend and designer Sabyasachi's show.
I can only say that I am very happy to have Sabya as my brother, my friend and my family. I'm lucky to know him, he makes such beautiful clothes," said Mukherjee.
"Ferozabad" being the theme for the show, Sabyasachi created an unusual set with the interiors of a luxury train and man travelling alone, a couple sitting and enjoying wine while chatting casually,and models sashaying down an elaborate and unique ramp.
The collection was both subtle and elegant line, and included heavily embroidered and embellished lehengas, coats, kurtas, Bandhgalas and Khadi shirts.
Newly-wed Mukherjee wore a cream sari that was embellished with intricate zari work from his collection and looked elegant with an ornate hairstyle
The event which has been organized in collaboration with the Logix Group is a six-day-long fair, and will end on July 20.
