The third and the final practice session of this weekend's Russian Grand Prix was cancelled after Toro Rosso's driver Carlos Sainz Jr suffered a heavy crash in the 35th minute of the race.
According to the Guardian, the 21-year-old was seen giving a thumbs-up gesture while he was being taken to hospital.
Confirming the news, Toro Rosso boss Franz Tost revealed that Carlos' car lost control under-breaking and speared into the barriers at the Sochi track.
Tost further said that the Spanish driver was fine and soon they would get to know if the latter could continue the race on Sunday.
