Sam Smith, who has been called 'the male Adele' for his heartbreak ballads and powerful dance anthems, has revealed that the "constant comparisons" can actually be "annoying."
The 22-year-old singer, who at first gracefully accepted the comparisons as compliments, now said in an interview that both of the singers are very different and he feels like the constant comparisons might p*** Adele off, the Mirror reported.
The 'Stay With Me' hitmaker added that it just annoys him that people can't digest two popstars singing really personal songs, who don't look like normal popstars.
Smith, who is set to perform at 2015 Grammy awards and has been nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album, says that he'd be happy if one of Grammys went to Beyonce, claiming that the 'Drunk In Love hitmaker' should win.
