Sam Smith has stated that he is so "relieved" that he can speak and sing again following his "horrendous" vocal cord surgery.
The 23-year-old singer couldn't talk for three weeks, said on Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw that even though situation was bad, he was happy that he got through it with the help of people around him, for which he cannot thank them enough, the BBC has reported.
It was like a blessing in disguise to have this break, but at the same time it killed him to cancel all these shows, however his first show after the incident would be on 3rd July which is Thetford Forest [Forest Live] and from then he would be back on the normal schedule, the 'Latch' artist further added.
Right now, Smith is trying to take things slow and has been practicing in shower, to put the pressure off. The English singer used a lot of miming to communicate, as well as an app on his phone.
