A Mumbai Court on Monday extended the judicial custody of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sameer Bhujbal till March 21.
Sameer, who is the nephew of former Maharashtra PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on February 1st in connection with a money laudering case.
The Maharashtra ACB had on February 24 filed a chargesheet in the Mumbai Sessions Court against Chhagan Bhujbal and his family members in connection with the Maharashtra Sadan construction scam.
The Maharashtra ACB had earlier filed two FIRs against the Bhujbals and others under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to probe the Delhi-based Maharashtra Sadan construction scam and the Kalina land grabbing case.
Chhagan is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in several cases of money laundering.
