Samsung's trademark application hints at plans to launch Glass' competitor

Samsung has reportedly applied for a trademark for a device called Gear Blink, which may be the competitor to Google Glass.

According to CNET, The Korean mobile phone company has filed a trademark application in Korea for a device known as 'Gear Blink'.

The trademark application included other goods which include wearable computer peripherals and software interfaces.

However, the company has not revealed any such information.

Samsung Vice Chairman and CEO Kwon Oh-hyun said last November, that the company has been dedicating significant resources to several technologies, including wearables, the report added.
