Marlon Samuels produced a resilient performance on the opening day of the second Test against England as remained unbeaten on 94 to lift West Indies to 188-5 at stumps in Grenada.
Put into bat first, West Indies suffered early blow in the form of Kriagg Brathwaite (1), who fell cheaply off James Anderson's express delivery.
Subsequently, England's seamers flexed their muscles to leave the Windies reeling at 129-5. Chris Jordan scalped two significant wickets as he dismissed Devon Smith (15) and Jermaine Blackwood (26).
In addition to it, Stuart Broad removed an elegant Darren Bravo, who looked set on 35 before he was caught behind by Jos Buttler.

Samuels smashed a flurry of boundaries in his 59-run partnership with skipper Denesh Ramdin (six not out) to restore some stability in the team' scoreline in the final session of the match.
