San Francisco Bay Area businesswomen to visit India

Influential women Leaders from Bay Area will be in India starting tomorrow to lead an initiative for Indian women empowerment in the corporate world as part of 2013 US-Indo IT Entrepreneurship and Women Empowerment Delegation to India.

This is the first time the Bay Area Council will be taking a business delegation to India.

San Francisco Mayor, Edwin M Lee is heading the delegation in Delhi.

Priya Tandon, Founder and Chair, IndUS Setu Global Foundation, Dr. Nandini Tandon, Vice Chair, Board of Directors, El Camino Hospital, Silicon Valley, Monika Raj, Managing Director, Allison + Partners are some of the participants.

Other influential leaders like, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Founder and CEO, Biocon, Kumar Malavalli, Resident Chair, San Francisco- Bangalore Sister City Committee and Naina Lal Kidwai, Country Head, HSBC and President, FICCI and Dr. Lizz Vilardo, President, Palo Alto Medical Foundation, will also attend.

 

The guest of honor of the delegation is Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur.

Various panel discussions will be taking place on topics like healthcare innovation and IT intersection, Influential leaders- Men and Women- Catalyzing Women Empowerment, etc.
