Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis continued their rampaging form as the top-ranked duo progressed through to the third round of the women's doubles event here at the French Open.
The Indo-Swiss pair recorded a 6-2, 6-0 win over Japanese duo of Nao Hibino and Eri Hozumi in the second round contest that lasted 54 minutes at Roland Garros.
Sania and Hingis are aiming to be the first team to hold all four majors simultaneously since Serena and Venus Williams in 2010. They will next take on Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova of Czech Republic for a spot in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, Indians had a good day at office on the sixth day of the clay-court competition as Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna advanced to the men's doubles third round with their respective partners.
