Sania Mirza and her Zimbabwean partner Cara Black defeated their opponents Hsieh Su-wei of Chinese Taipei and Peng Shuai of China 6-1, 6-0 to win the WTA Finals title on Sunday.
Sania's father Imran Mirza called it an amazing victory adding that the ace tennis player was also thrilled.
"It is an amazing victory, one of her biggest wins as she becomes the only Indian female to achieve that. She is thrilled and just soaking it all in," Imran Mirza told ANI in Hyderabad.
Mirza and Black, who are playing their last tournament together, dominated the match all along, defeating defending champions Su-wei and Shuai in a match that lasted a little over an hor.
