Mumbai has always been numero uno when it comes the premieres of Bollywood movies. Now, breaking with tradition, filmmaker Imran Khan has preferred to premiere his film 'Sargoshiyan' at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convocation center (SKICC) in Srinagar.

Imran, started shooting 'Sargoshiyan' in 2015 with the full support of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank and the Department of Tourism.

The movie, which has been extensively shot in Kashmir, drew huge crowds and applause during its premiere.

'Sargoshiyan' will be the first Bollywood film to be premiered in Srinagar and claims to have captured the soul and culture of Kashmir.

The film will be released on May 19 and will be screened in around 500 theatres across India.

The flick is based on Kashmiri culture and brotherhood.

Kashmir at present has no cinema halls and it is only after decades that Kashmiris have got a chance to see a Bollywood movie on screen at the SKICC.
