Pakistan Test and one-day captain Misbah-ul Haq has said that he is satisfied with his current form and added that he is keen to see his run-scoring spree help his side win matches and inspire his fellow batsmen in the team.
According to The Nation, even though he is happy to be scoring runs constantly, Misbah wants them to be converted into team victories, although he expressed satisfaction with his form despite the batting struggles of the team recently.
Misbah, who scored a match-winning 52 in the fourth ODI against the West Indies on Sunday, said that he is aware that his match-winning form will not last forever, although he added that he is feeling very confident going out to bat and wants this confidence to rub off on the other batsmen.
Stating that Pakistan was trying out six bowlers in every match as it suits modern requirements of the game, Misbah, who has become the highest run scorer in ODIs without scoring a century on Sunday, also said that in modern day cricket it is imperative to have a extra bowling option.
Meanwhile Pakistan's former captain Ramiz Raja has urged the cricket authorities to give more confidence and a proper tenure to Misbah as captain as whenever the team does badly he is made the target of criticism even though he is the best batsman in the team.
