A Saudi official called on Pakistan's Army Chief General Raheel Sharif during which the duo discussed matters related to regional security and bilateral defence collaboration including training exchanges.

"Muhammad Bin Abdullah Al-Ayish, Assistant Defence Minister for Military Affairs, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, visited General Headquarters today and called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif," the Dawn quoted a statement issued by ISPR.

Assistant Defence Minister for Military Affairs, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Bin Abdullah Al-Ayish, called on General Sharif during which the duo discussed regional security and bilateral defence cooperation.

Speculations were made that the Saudi official was in Pakistan to share the awaited details of the 34-nation counter-terrorism coalition. Pakistan had earlier said that decision on the extent of its participation would be taken after receiving details from Riyadh.
