Japan's Casio is known for manufacturing calculators and watches. But, the company also makes projectors and is pioneer and market leader of 'Lamp free projector' category.
Lamp free projector is free from mercury lamp. It also saves maintenance cost and power consumption.
Comparing the projector with mercury lamp and the lamp free projector, the boot-up time of the lamp free projector is only five seconds. And, it immediately reaches maximal brightness.
In comparison with it, another projector with mercury lamp needs 12 seconds to boot up and 70 seconds to reach maximal brightness.
The projector with mercury lamp consumed power by 215 Watt. However, the lamp free projector consumed 116 Watt and the electricity price is about a half.

Seiko Epson Corporation ("Epson") has developed what it believes to be the world's first compact office papermaking system capable of producing new paper from securely shredded waste paper without the use of water.
"PaperLab" produces the first new sheet of paper in about three minutes of having loaded it with waste paper and pressing the start button.
The system can produce about 14 A4 sheets per minute and 6,720 sheets in an eight-hour day.
A variety of different binders can be added to the fiberized material to increase the binding strength or whiteness of the paper or to add color, fragrance, flame resistance, or other properties needed for a given application.
Users can produce sheets of A4 or A3 office paper and even paper for business cards thanks to forming technology that allows them to control the density, thickness, and size of paper.
Kazuhiro Ichikawa, General Manager, A Project, Seiko Epson Corporation said, "I think it's getting more important to promote a recycling-oriented society. So we want to propose new services or products that contribute a recycling-oriented society as a manufacture."
PaperLab breaks documents down into paper fibers, so the information on confidential documents is completely destroyed.
It makes color papers too.
With PaperLab, Epson is looking to shorten and localize a new recycling process in the office.
