The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned the matter of government formation in Delhi till October 28.

"The Central Government informed the Supreme Court that the matter is still pending for the President's consideration and a decision is likely to be taken soon," said lawyer Aman, who confirmed this report.

"And the other issue was that the Additional Solicitor General who was appearing in the matter earlier was in some personal difficulty and, therefore, the court has postponed this matter to October 28 when it will be heard for final disposal," he added.

The lawyer further said that whenever the decision is taken it will be communicated to Lieutenant Governor Najib Jung and the media.

Delhi has been under the President's rule since February 17 this year after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal resigned as the Chief Minister over the non-introduction of the Jan Lokpal Bill in the state assembly.
