The Supreme Court on Wednesday sentenced 1995 Jammu blast case accused and Hizbul Mujahideen militant Ghulam Nabi to life imprisonment.
The apex court's judgment was made on an appeal of the Jammu and Kashmir Government against a trial court's decision, which had earlier acquitted Nabi.
Three bomb explosions had taken place at the Maulana Azad Memorial Stadium in Jammu aimed to kill then Governor General K.V. Krishna Rao while he was addressing on the occasion of Republic Day in 1995.
Rao escaped narrowly.
