The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear the petition filed by the Centre and Medical Council of India (MCI), seeking review of its judgement scrapping the single common entrance test, National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admissions to MBBS, BDS and post-graduate courses in all medical colleges.
The bench headed by the then Chief Justice of India Altamas Kabir had in 2013 set aside the NEET and allowed private medical colleges and state government colleges to hold separate entrance tests.
