Scarborough, England, has decided to boost 'extraterrestrial tourism', after it was recently named "UFO capital of Britain" following multiple UFO sightings.
Tourism bosses hope that this unique type of tourism could help the city in the same way Loch Ness monster helped boost Scottish holiday trade, the Daily Express reported.
A film company is making a documentary about the area following a spate of strange sightings over the North Sea, as UFO watchers have reported seeing a flying saucer landing on a hill near Scarborough's former football ground before taking off again and disappearing into nearby woods.
While people have also claimed to see "a ball of light" in an aerial dogfight with "black flying triangles", while a red light was also observed hovering over the sea before splitting into smaller fiery shapes.
John Senior, chairman of South Bay Traders, said that they are all for the idea of extraterrestrial tourism and have been assured that their fireworks displays in "Flying Saucers Have Landed conference" called Starfire will be visible from space.
Senior added that they hope there will be someone up there watching and they would welcome all life forms here in Scarborough and are very happy to accommodate UFO spotters and cater for their needs.
