A new study has revealed that Brits adults are more likely to believe in ghosts and aliens than God.

In a poll, which was organised by 'Ripley's Believe it or Not!' London team, it was found that while 51 percent of adults in the UK think aliens exist, only a think believe that God does, the Daily Star reported.

The study conducted on 1,500 adults and 500 kids, also revealed that 1 in 5 Brits claim to have encountered some supernatural activity, with 55 percent saying that ghosts exist and 42 percent believing in UFO's.

Meanwhile, it turns out that it were the adults who were scaredy cats as 13 percent of adults were more scared of ghosts than their children, with around 26 percent of kids saying that aliens were disguised as other humans.

Natascha Crump, General Manager for the show said that it though we live in the age of science, the results prove that many still held belief in things that might exist outside of our world.
