Schools in J&K's Manjakote closed for 3 days after Pak shelling

Schools along the Line of Control (LoC) in Manjakote sector in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed for next three days in view of a fresh ceasefire violation yesterday.

Rajouri Deputy Commissioner Shahid Iqbal Choudhary said: "A ceasefire violation was reported at 1:50 pm yesterday, no losses have been reported so far. All schools will remain closed for next three days. We will review the situation and take a decision soon".

According to an official source, the exchange of fire between the Pakistan Rangers and the Indian Army is still on.

Saturday becomes the third consecutive day of shelling of civilian areas and border outposts (BoPs) in India by the Pakistani troops.

 

On Friday, at least 11 civilians were injured across Jammu and Kashmir in the various ceasefires firing from across the border.
