The manager of Michael Schumacher has said that the Formula One legend is now showing 'moments of consciousness and awakening' more than three months after suffering serious head injuries in a skiing accident.
The seven-tine German world champion, who retired in 2012, fell while skiing in France and hit the right side of his head on a rock, cracking his helmet, which led to the development of blood clots deep inside his brain, which doctors have failed to remove.
According to Telegraph.com.au, manager Sabine Kehm said in a statement that 'Schumacher is making progress on his way, adding that they are confident of him making a recovery'.
Kehm further stated that Schumacher's family does not intend to disclose further details.
Schumacher's condition stabilised after he was placed in the coma, following which, in late January, doctors began the process of withdrawing sedatives to try to wake him up, the report added.
