Stricken Formula One legend Michael Schumacher's wife Corinna has sent a heartwarming letter to a young boy from Ulster, Ireland, who wrote a book called 'Ferrari Adventure', with words of hope and inspiration.
Eight-year-old Aidan Gormley, who wrote the children's book, posted a copy to Schumacher, at the clinic in Switzerland where he is fighting to regain normality after spending nearly six months in a medically induced coma.
In reply Corinna, who spends hours each day at her husband's bedside trying to coax him to speak and move, said that she would like to thank Gormley for his best wishes and his kind present, which helps them to move forward in those difficult times, The Daily Express reported.
Corinna further said that it feels good to receive so many friendly wishes for recovery and other well-meant words. She added that it meant a lot to her family to receive such wonderful support from people.
Gormley, is a student and counts English writers Michael Morpurgo and Roald Dahl as his favourite authors. His book tells the story of a young car fanatic called Johnny, whose favourite hobby is playing with fast cars, out on a day of adventure.
Gormley said that he got into a Ferrari at the launch for the book, and added that it was class and he got to rev it. The eight-year-old also said that he is pleased to have received the letter from Michael's wife, and added that he hopes the seven-time world champion gets completely better.
Schumacher suffered severe head injuries during a ski accident on December 29 last year when he smashed into hidden rocks in the French Alps at Meribel. He has recovered sufficiently from his coma to be moved to the Lausanne rehabiliation clinic in June where he remains immobile and mute, the report added.
