The stage is set! Filming of the highly anticipated second season of Netflix series '13 Reasons Why' has finally started.
Christian Navarro, who portrays the role of Tony in the series, confirmed the news on micro-blogging site Twitter.
The actor tweeted, "Day One. S2. Ready to make some magic."
The series, which is based on Jay Asher's 2007 novel of the same name, centres on a 17-year-old high school student Hannah Baker who dies by suicide, leaving behind 13 cassette tapes for 13 different people she felt were instrumental in her decision to take her own life.
Recently, the hit series had been a subject of debate from TV critics and many suicide prevention groups for its graphic portrayal of Hannah's suicide.
Netflix did defend the series and issued a statement to ABC news which read, "From the onset of work on '13 Reasons Why,' we have been mindful both of the show's intense themes and the intended audience.
