Security beefed up in Varanasi ahead of PM Modi's visit

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to his constituency Varanasi on December 12 with Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe, heavy security arrangements have been made.

A team of Central Paramilitary Forces (CPMFs) have been deployed to keep the security in check.

There are strict security arrangements in the Varanasi International Airport as well as in ghats. A team of Navy has been sought for water safety.

A video conferencing to review the security arrangement will be held by senior officers in Lucknow.
