Security expert Lt. General Raj Kadyan on Tuesday alleged that the flip flop by Pakistan of first suspending the detention order against 26/11 terror attacks accused Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi and then arresting him again on the charges of abduction is nothing short of a 'drama'.
Lt. Gen. (retired) Kadyan said Pakistan will never hand over the perpetrators of 26/11 attacks to India.
"What is happening about Lakhvi is just a drama played by Pakistan, nothing is going to happen, no Lakhvi or Dawood Ibrahim or Hafiz Saeed will ever be handed over to India for trial for the crimes committed," Kadyan told ANI.
He further said that Lakhvi and Hafiz Saeed are mere operators acting upon the instructions from ISI and Pakistani regime.
"Zakiur Rehman was one of the key operators of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008. There was clinching evidence against him but Lakhvi and Hafiz Saeed are only operators, the main instructions came from the ISI and Pakistani regime was involved. Nothing ever is going to happen to Lakhvi," he added.
According to reports, the Lashkar-e-Toiba operative and 26/11 mastermind Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi was detained again in a kidnapping case after the Islamabad high court had suspended his detention order on Monday.
On December 18, Lakhvi was granted bail after his arrest by a Pakistani anti-terrorism court (ATC), while the federal government in the Islamic Republic extended his detention in the Adiala Jail under the Maintenance of Public Order ordinance.
