Security forces bust militant hideout at Bhaderwah in Kashmir

The police and Rashtriya Rifles personnel have busted a militant hideout and recovered arms, ammunition and explosives in a joint operation at Sukhni Nallah Jai Chinta under the jurisdiction of Bhaderwah Police Station in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district.

"We have busted a hideout in the forest area. We have recovered arms and ammunition," said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) M. S. Chouhan told the media today.

"This is the sixth incident of the kind during this year. The local army unit along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police had succeeded in this recovery in Doda district," he added.

During the operation, they recovered two 9mm pistols, three hand grenades, two wireless sets, one walkie-talkie, 17 UBGL grenades, two magazines of AK-47, 256 rounds of ammunition for AK 56, 15 rounds ammunition of Pika gun, four rounds of HMG ammunition, 10 rounds Sniper ammunition, blankets, clothing, utensils, currency notes and two Islamic literature books.
