Following the T20 and ODI series loss against England, Pakistan head coach Waqar Younis has described the recent matches as an 'eye opener' for the country's cricket board.
Waqar suggested that there is an immediate need for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and National Cricket Academy (NCA) to hire foreign coaches if they want to improve his side's performance, the Express Tribune reported.
The 44-year-old further insisted that the top domestic players should be groomed as per the international standards so that they could benefit the team in the future.
Speaking on Pakistan next year's tour to England, Waqar said that his side need rigorous preparation against the hosts.
Earlier, Pakistan suffered a three-run defeat against England in a last over thriller in Dubai and thereby lost the three-match T20 series 0-2. The final match will be played in Sharjah on Monday.
