While monsoon has finally hit Kochi, North India is still reeling under a severe heat wave.
Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan have been the worst hit this season where the temperature has touched 47 degree Celsius, which is five degrees above normal.
BP Yadav, head of the Met Department's National Weather Forecasting Centre in New Delhi said, "No relief is expected in the next four-five days but temperature won't increase further. The heat wave will remain as intense today and tomorrow and the western winds have also added to the sizzling heat."
