Defending champions Sevilla battled past a spirited Zenith St Petersburg side to book a place in the Europa League semifinals following a 4-3 aggregate win over the Russian team on Thursday night.
Holding a 2-1 lead from the first-leg, Carlos Bacca consolidated the Spanish club's advantage with a penalty before Salomon Rondon and a sublime 40-yard finish from Hulk equalized for Zenit.
However, substitute Kevin Gameiro netted the decisive goal from a Vitolo pass four minutes before the full-time to put Sevilla on course to win Europe's second tier competition for the fourth time in nine years, the BBC reported.
With the win, Sevilla joined Italian clubs Fiorentina and Napoli, and Ukraine's Dnipro in the semifinal draw.
