Pakistan opening batsman Ahmad Shahzad has sparked yet another controversy by breaking the dressing room glass of the Faisalabad's Iqbal Stadium on Sunday.
The incident took place during a Pakistan Cup clash when stand-in captain Shahzad failed to score a century for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and was dismissed for 79 against Balochistan.
Venting his anger, a furious Shahzad broke the dressing room glass by hurling his bat, the Dawn reported.
Reflecting on the matter, the 24-year-old insisted that it was not an intentional act and that what happened in a dressing room was just a reaction to his dismissal before reaching the three-figure mark.
Ahmed, however, assured to bear all expenses to replace the damaged glass.
Earlier this year, Shahzad was fined 30 per cent of his match fee after being found guilty of making 'inappropriate and deliberate physical contact' towards pace bowler Wahab Riaz during the Pakistan Super League.
