Sharing at least 4 meals a week can help maintain domestic bliss, says a study.
The research claims that an average family today spends less than 12 hours a week with everyone present, and coming together at the dining table helps bridge the gap, the Daily Express reported.
The study also showed that having more than one tablet computer in the house, a streaming broadband video account, regular vacation trips, and having both sets of grandparents around were among the things that created a harmonious family life.
In addition to that, small things like having a "treat cupboard", a collection of board games and a comfortable sofa also contribute.
While a huge kitchen was top of parents' wish list of things to improve the home, children listed a tree house as their wish.
