Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reportedly claimed that the ongoing protest sit-ins by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) in Islamabad were scripted and were part of a "London plan" that has flopped miserably.
Before leaving to attend the 69th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly, Sharif told reporters in London on Wednesday that the plan to hold protest sit-ins in the capital city was hatched between the PTI and PAT leaders in London during a meeting. He claimed that "some politicians" had joined hands to conspire against Pakistan, reported The Express Tribune.
Sharif said that the details and motives behind the "London Plan" have now started to surface and people know what it has been reduced to. He added that the nation had "foiled the designs" of protesters and would not forgive those who tried to obstruct the progress of the nation.
