Sharif, Obama call for 'resilient' Indo-Pak dialogue

Pakistani Prime Minister and US President Barack Obama have urged for sustained and resilient talks between India and Pakistan aimed at resolving all outstanding issues, including Kashmir.

According to the Dawn, they agreed that better ties between the countries would ensure peace in the South-Asian region.

Both Sharif and Obama expressed concern over escalating violence along the Line of Control, a joint statement on the talks between the two leaders said.

The two leaders underscored that all sides should continuously act with maximum restraint and work jointly toward strengthening strategic stability in South Asia.
