Senior Congress leader Sheila Dikshit on Monday avoided commenting on whether BJP's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi was fit for the coveted post of chief minister.
"Their party has chosen her after a lot of thought and I am sure a lot of study. So, if they think that she is eligible, then we are nobody to question that," she told ANI here.
When asked whether the former IPS officer would win the elections, Dikshit said there are more posters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as compared to any other BJP leader.
"I don't know...There are more Modi's posters than anybody else's. And I am sure that the people of Delhi would realise that Mr. Modi is not going to become the chief minister, Mr. Amit Shah is not going to become the chief minister. So, it's their strategy, what are we going to say about that," she said.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is expecting to win the Delhi Assembly polls with absolute majority this time keeping in mind Prime Minister Modi's growing popularity, has named Bedi as their face for the elections.
Kiran Bedi, who joined the BJP recently, is contesting from the Krishna Nagar Assembly seat in East Delhi.
Elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held on February 7 and the results would be announced on February 10.
