Karan Johar's production, 'Shiddat' has now been renamed as 'Kalank'.
The forthcoming film will star an ensemble cast of Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Madhuri Dixit-Nene.
The Dhah-Dhak girl replaced Sridevi after her untimely demise in Dubai on February 24, this year.
The title was announced by the filmmaker along with the poster of the film. With several ruins and offset colours, the poster gave off major old-world vibes.
Helmed by Abhishek Varman, the epic period drama is going to be set in 1940s, around the hard times faced by India and Pakistan.
The poster also announced the release date of the flick, i.e. April 19, 2019, which is going to go on floors soon.
The film was actually conceptualised by Johar's father, Yash, nearly 15 years ago.
