Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan has reportedly made the second highest score in limited overs cricket by recording 248 from 150 balls for India A against South Africa A at the LC de Villiers Oval in Pretoria on Monday.

India A made 433-3 to win a 50-over match against South Africa A.

Veteran Indian batsman Virender Sehwag reportedly holds the record for the most runs in an official one-day international innings with 219 from 149 balls against West Indies in Indore in 2011.

According to reports, the opening batsman scored 30 fours and seven huge sixes as he fell 20 runs short of the record held by English cricket legend Ali Brown, who hammered 268 from 160 balls for Surrey against Glamorgan at The Oval in 2002.

Dhawan also smashed 187 from 174 balls in his only career test innings against Australia in March this year, the report added.
