The picturesque tourist spot Shimla in received fresh snowfall on Monday evening.
As the state received continuous snowfall and rainfall for 24 hours, temperatures remained below freezing point.
The maximum snowfall of three feet was recorded from Rohtang Pass, a high mountain pass near Manali.
"In the last 24 hours rainfall was recorded across Himachal Pradesh and in the upper region fresh snowfall has been recorded. The heaviest snowfall of three feet was recorded from Rohtang Pass of Manali region," said Director of Indian Meteorological Department, Manmohan Singh.
Fresh snow along with rain was also recorded from Kufri hill station in Shimla district.

The minimum temperature was recorded at minus 4.2 degree Celsius from Kalpa town whereas temperature in Manali was recorded at minus zero.
However, the residents are facing trouble due to continuous rain and snowfall as road connectivity in high altitude tribal areas was cut off from the rest of the state.
The weather department in Himachal Pradesh has issued warning of heavy snowfall in the higher reaches of the state in the next 48 hours.
