Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Tuesday avoided commenting on reports that 26/11 suspect David Coleman Headley has not mentioned Ishrat Jahan in his 'official' confession, saying he is bound by a U.S. agreement and cannot divulge the details.
"I have yet to receive the report. Whatever Headley might have said, he must have said that in front of the FBI. There is an agreement between the FBI and our country's police, and we cannot disclose that," he told the media here.
According to reports, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is learnt to have told the Ministry of Home Affairs that Headley has not mentioned Ishrat Jahan in his 'official' confession.
The Ministry of Home Affairs had sought a report after Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh asked the Union Home Minister to clear the air on the issue.
