The Shiv Sena on Wednesday took a swing at the NDA Government by questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi's motto of 'Acche Din,' lashing out at the ruling government on price rise of commodities in the country.

The Sena mouthpiece, Saamna, criticised the ruling government for the rise in prices of essential day to day commodities, such as rice, wheat, oil, sugar, vegetables.

The article mentioned that expenditure incurred in a household of four has increased from 5 thousand to 8 thousand.

Shiv Sena through the Saamna have been continuously needling the Government and Prime Minister Modi.

They had earlier praised the contribution of former Congress prime ministers-from Jawaharlal Nehru to Manmohan Singh-to India's growth story, saying they too had made the country proud during their foreign visits and were immensely popular abroad.

The Sena's comment had come in the backdrop of the BJP's jubilation over the outcome of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's latest trip to the US and the Congress attack on him for his remarks about corruption in India while on foreign soil.
