The Shiv Sena on Wednesday criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending a billion dollar line of credit to Mongolia, saying that the latter had not shown the same interest to aid the farmers of Maharashtra who were reeling from debt.
The Shiv Sena reportedly stated this in an editorial of its mouth piece 'Saamana'.
It further said that the Prime Minister's move will pain the 'souls' of the farmers who have committed suicide in the recent past.
About 35,000 farmers in the state committed suicide between 2004 and 2014 and over 600 farmers have killed themselves between January and March 2015.
