Expelled Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal on Sunday vented his ire at Mulayam Singh Yadav and alleged that he was acting on the advice of Amar Singh and Shivpal Singh Yadav.

Dubbing his expulsion from the Samajwadi Party as "unconstitutional", Agarwal said Mulayam does not have the authority as his son and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

"I consider this as unconstitutional and when Akhilesh has become the party president then I don't think Netaji has the authority to expel us. It seems he is being mind controlled by someone," Agarwal told ANI.

When asked about the authenticity of the showcause notice where sources close to Akhilesh claimed it was manipulated by Shivpal, Agarwal said, "Amar Singh and Shivpal are mind controlling Netaji and making him to do all these things."

The Rajya Sabha lawmaker further said the decision to sack him will not be taken lightly as Mulayam may have to face dire consequences.

"Netaji is unable to understand that by attacking me, he has attacked the Vaishya community and the people of Uttar Pradesh. I am not merely a minister, I am also their well-wisher. They will have to face consequences," he said.

Echoing similar views, another expelled Samajwadi Party leader Kiranmoy Nanda said there are some people, who are misleading Mulayam.

"We were concerned about Netaji as there are some people who are creating confusion," he said.

He dubbed the order to expel Ram Gopal Yadav, Naresh Agarwal and himself as "unconstitutional" while expressing optimism that the order would be revoked soon.

Akhilesh was today unanimously elected the Samajwadi Party's national president replacing his father.

A resolution to this effect was presented by party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav in the party's national convention in Lucknow which was passed with a voice vote.

In another resolution, Akhilesh's uncle Shivpal Yadav was removed from the post of state party chief and Amar Singh was expelled from the party with immediate effect.
