Security forces have reportedly killed all three militants holed up in a house in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian District.
Media reports said that the encounter ended at 9.15 a.m.
Apart from the three dead militants, an army major and soldier also lost their lives in the encounter.
The encounter began on Friday morning and ended 24 hours later in Karewa Malino village, which is about 55 km from here.
Two of the militants were locals and the third was a foreigner.
Clearing up operations are said to be on at the time of the filing of this report.
