Ahead of his side's upcoming Test series against England, South African batsman Temba Bavuma believes that his short height is not a disadvantage for him and his techniques are also honed around his size.

Bavuma, who is likely to play at number seven position in the forthcoming series, is by far the shortest batsman in the line-up, standing 162cm tall.

The 25-year-old insisted that he has learned to work with his small stature despite people seeing it as a challenge for him, Sport24 reported.

Bavuma, who is looking forward to the upcoming series, asserted that although he enjoyed the experience of opening in India, the middle-order position is where he feels most comfortable.

Describing every series as 'big', the right-hand batsman said his aim would be to try to establish himself as one of the regulars in the team.

South Africa, which suffered a 0-3 series defeat in the recently-concluded series Test against India, will aim to bounce back when they will take on England in four-match series, starting from Saturday.
